Kraken's Payward and Singapore Gulf Bank Launch Round-the-Clock Settlement

Payward, the entity behind the Kraken exchange, has partnered with Singapore Gulf Bank to offer continuous settlement infrastructure for institutional digital asset trading, the companies announced Sunday. The integration centers on SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's proprietary real-time clearing network, which eliminates the time-zone gaps that have historically complicated cross-border crypto transactions.
Under the arrangement, institutional clients operating across Asia and the Gulf region can now complete settlements at any hour without waiting for traditional banking windows to open. The deal addresses a persistent friction point for large-scale traders who require certainty of finality regardless of when a transaction is executed.

Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime — Payward's institutional brokerage arm — as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. That move is expected to deepen the pool of assets available to the bank's institutional clientele and strengthen price discovery across both regions.
The partnership reflects a broader push by digital asset firms to court institutional money by matching the operational reliability standards of traditional finance. Round-the-clock clearing has long been a competitive advantage that crypto markets claim over legacy systems, yet back-end settlement infrastructure has often lagged that promise — a gap this agreement aims to close.
